The Central Line forms one line of the London Underground network - the oldest underground passenger railway. Originally called the "half-penny tube" as every journey cost half a penny, it was steadily expanded taking over ex-British Rail routes. The line today is slightly shorter than in the past, as the Epping to Ongar stretch closed in 1994 and is now a heritage railway.

Timetable

The timetable is created using the July 2020 working timetable and so is as realistic as possible, running from 04:55 until 01:30 the next morning. Throughout the day 66 trains operate - this is strengthened to 77 trains during peak hours. As the route is entirely self contained, all these trains are under your control all day.

The standard off-peak service pattern is as follows:

Central Line - London Underground Services
Train Operating Company Origin Destination Frequency (tph)
Central Line West Ruislip Epping 9
Northolt Loughton 3
Woodford Hainault 3
White City 3
Ealing Broadway 6
Newbury Park 3
